Sonera starts codetermination talks, 105 jobs on the line

Telecommunications company Sonera announced on Monday that it is starting employer-employee talks that affect 145 workers; the company indicates that it may also instate an additional 40 new positions.

Telecommunications operator Sonera announced on Monday that it will be entering a series of codetermination talks within the company. The negotiations are geared toward improving business efficiency.

The planned changes on the table affect a number of units, and the measures may result in 145 people losing their jobs. Simultaneously, a Sonera spokesperson says the firm may be opening an additional 40 new positions in the reshuffle.

Sonera also announces that various other changes to work contracts may affect some 80 workers.
