The National Coalition Party was the best-supported in Finland's European election, but the Left Alliance increased its support by the most.

In the western region of Satakunta the party saw support jump by 11.7 percentage points, while in south-west Finland there was a 14 percentage point gain and in the Vaasa electoral district the Leftist vote jumped by 6.7 percent.

Nationally, the party's support increased by 10.4 percentage points.

Although many municipalities saw a different party top the poll, leftist leader Li Andersson was still one of the best-supported candidates in almost every polling area.

In Jyväskylä, Lahti and Hämeenlinna the NCP took top spot overall, but Andersson got more votes than any other individual candidate.

In Ikaalinen and Huittinen, the Centre Party was top in the election, but Andersson was the best-supported candidate.
