One of Finland's biggest banks, Nordea, reported a glitch in its online banking services on Saturday morning but later said the problem had been fixed.
"Nordea's disruption is over and services are working normally for all customers. Some of our customers had problems logging in this morning due to an outage in online and mobile banking. We apologise for the inconvenience," Riikka Taivassalo, Nordea Finland's communications director, said by email shortly before noon.
The bank says on its website that there may be short interruptions due to maintenance work on the night between Saturday and Sunday. Maintenance work is carried out between 10:30 pm and 7 am.
"You’ll be able to pay with cards, withdraw cash from ATMs and use our card blocking service as usual. There may be temporary service breaks on Saturday night affecting online and mobile banking for personal and corporate customers, electronic identification and online payments," the bank said on its website.
In April, a fault in Nordea's online banking allowed some customers to view details of accounts belonging to other clients. Two months earlier, the bank reported widespread disruption to its card payments.
