Repair work on the Olkiluoto 2 nuclear reactor will be delayed by one week, the plant's operator Teollisuuden Voima (TVO) has announced.
The company said the repair effort involves replacing a faulty generator rotor with a spare.
"According to the new schedule estimate, electricity production at the plant unit will resume on 6 October. The previous estimate was 29 September," TVO stated in a press release.
The plant operator added that the Olkiluoto 1 and 3 reactors were operating normally.
The lack of energy production at its second reactor has affected the electricity market, which saw major fluctuations in prices even before the reactor went offline for repairs.
When it is functioning normally, Olkiluoto 2's net electricity output is 890 megawatts.
