Thirteen-year-old Finnish skateboarder Heili Sirviö placed third at the X Games in Chiba, Japan.

The only competitors to outperform Sirviö in the women’s park competition were gold medalist Arisa Trew and bronze medalist Sky Brown from the Paris Olympics. The Finnish skateboarder was the youngest athlete to enter the X Games.

"It was amazing. Everything felt so unreal and crazy. It was a really fun competition," Sirviö told Yle by phone.

Sirviö, who finished fifth in skateboarding at the Paris Olympics, started skateboarding in 2020 during the Covid lockdown in Australia, where her family lived at the time.

She is the youngest person to ever represent Finland at the Olympic games.
