Everything you need to know about arriving at the UMK show on Saturday, Feb 8

The UMK25 event will be held at Nokia Arena in Tampere on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 6 PM to 3 AM.

UMK25: Saturday, February 8, 6 PM–3 AM

Please read the arrival instructions in this article carefully and follow them – this way, we can ensure a smooth UMK experience together!

We warmly welcome you to enjoy a UMK night at Tampere. The exact address of the event is Nokia Arena, Tampere, Kansikatu 3, 33100.

The UMK Pre-Party is between 6 PM and 9 PM (All Ages), the show itself starts at 9 PM and lasts until 11 PM (All Ages/18+ for Alcohol Areas). The after-party starts immediately after the show ends and continues until 3AM (18+).

Tickets

Entry to the UMK Show is only permitted with a UMK25 ticket. The UMK Show is open to all ages in designated sections and restricted to 18+ in sections where alcohol is served. The 18+ seating sections are located in parts of the B sections.

Minors must leave by 11 PM, as the after-party is 18+. The entire evening, including the UMK After-Party, is included in your event ticket.

The ticket has been sent to the email address you provided. If you can’t find your ticket in your inbox, check your spam folder or search for emails from noreply@lippu.fi. If needed, contact Lippu.fi at +358 30 514 214.

Arrival and getting around Nokia Arena

Detailed arrival instructions can be found on the Nokia Arena website.

Entrance

  • Entry routes are marked outside the Arena according to seating sections: Door A and Door B. Please check your seat section on your ticket in advance and line up at the correct entry route on time.
  • Have your ticket ready before reaching the entrance and bring a valid ID with you.
  • As safety is our top priority, we will conduct a security check for everyone entering. This may cause delays at the entrance, so please arrive early – the UMK evening begins at 6 PM.
  • Those seated in the floor section must be in their seats by 8:30 PM. The floor section doors will close before the live broadcast begins.

Coat check and floor maps

If possible, avoid bringing unnecessary items, as they can slow down the entry process. Bags or purses no larger than A4 size are allowed.

The coat check is located on the same level as your seating section. It is optional for everyone except those seated in the floor section, for whom the coat check is mandatory. The coat check fee is €3,5.

Cash is not accepted as a payment method at Nokia Arena.

Thank you for leaving your outerwear at the designated coat check, as the coat check capacity is allocated according to the seating levels.

1st Floor: Floor section, UMK Club

Entry for floor section attendees is through Door A. The mandatory coat check (€3,5) is located on your seating level (1st floor) to the left of the entrance.

3rd Floor: Main seating level, UMK Karaoke, YleX Street, merch sales

Sections A1–A10 and B1–B10.

Entry to the main seating level is through Door B. The optional coat check (€3,5) is located on your seating level (3rd floor) to the left of the escalators, opposite seating section A3.

Payment for the coat check is made at the top of the escalators. Please have your payment method ready in advance. MobilePay is also accepted.

5th Floor: upper seating level, Yle Street, body painting, merch sales

Sections C1–C10 and D1–D10.

Entry for upper seating level ticket holders is through Door B. The optional coat check (€3,5) is located on your seating level (5th floor).

Wheelchair and companion seats

Wheelchair and companion seats are located in sections A1, A2, B1, and B2. Information about accessibility at Nokia Arena

Once inside

  • You are free to move between floors, but please avoid crowding the hallways.
  • There are seats available in the hall, but the audience may also stand in their designated spots. Always be mindful of ensuring a clear view for those around you.
  • The floor audience must remain in place during the broadcast, and no movement is allowed on the floor during live performances, as cameras will be moving above the audience. However, you may stand in your designated spot on the floor.
  • Bringing alcoholic beverages into the hall or stands is prohibited, except in the B-side designated bar seating areas. Only water or soft drinks are allowed in the hall. The arena features several restaurants and bars that will be open throughout the event.
  • Professional recording of the event is not allowed without permission. Flash photography is strictly prohibited.

LED wristband

  • LED wristbands are used during the UMK Show. You will receive the wristband after the security check.
  • Please remember to return the wristband to the designated collection points after the show.

Schedule for Saturday, February 8, 6 PM–3 AM

By arriving early, you’ll be able to immerse yourself in the UMK excitement starting at 6 PM. On the first floor, the UMK Club features DJ SAMPL playing UMK hits and other classics.

On the third floor, you can sing UMK and Eurovision songs at UMK Karaoke and dance on YleX Street to music from YleX DJs.

The fifth floor is full of activities, including Yle Areena booths and body painting.

Finnish classics will be playing at the Suomi Disco on the fifth floor as well.

Throughout the arena, you can take photos with stunning UMK-themed backdrops and enjoy special cocktails created for UMK.

The after-party at Nokia Arena continues across three floors until 3 AM, with the possibility of surprise performances.

UMK Afterparty Takes Over Three Floors of Nokia Arena

The afterparty is included with your event ticket. Minors must leave after the show ends.

Safety

We are committed to ensuring a safe environment for everyone. We follow the safety and health recommendations of the authorities. If you notice any safety concerns, please report them to the nearest security staff.

We do not tolerate any form of discrimination, bullying, or inappropriate behavior at our event. If you encounter any disturbing behavior, please report it to the staff without hesitation.

The event has designated harassment contact persons, identifiable by their pink reflective vests. You can also reach them at +358 44 421 1080 to report any harassment incidents.

Prohibited Items & cheering props

A security check will be conducted at the entrance. Alcohol, glass bottles, cans, firearms, bladed weapons (including multitools), fireworks, or other similar dangerous items are not permitted in Nokia Arena. You are allowed to bring an empty 0.5-liter water bottle that’s not made out of glass.

We encourage you to bring cheering props with you to UMK! Support flags and signs up to 50 cm in size, with poles made of materials other than metal or wood, are allowed in the audience and hall. We reserve the right to remove props that interfere with the live broadcast.

UMK25

The artists competing for the UMK25 title will be revealed on January 8, 2025.

Six artists compete in UMK25: Nelli Matula, Goldielocks, Erika Vikman, Viivi, Costee ja Neea River. You can vote for your favorite via the Yle app, by phone, or via text message.

In addition to the competition performances, the UMK show will feature spectacular opening and interval acts. UM25 will be hosted by Sanni and Jasmin Beloued.
