Electricity spot prices jump above 30 cents

The spot price of electricity will peak at 6pm on Sunday.

The spot price of electricity is set to rise to 31.37 cents per kilowatt-hour (KWh) at 6 pm on Sunday, according to figures on the website Oomi from the Nordic electricity exchange Nord Pool.

In the morning, the price remains below seven cents until 3 pm, when it jumps to nearly 20 cents.

After the evening peak, prices fall, reaching just over 16 cents per kWh at 9 pm.

All these prices include value-added tax (VAT).

Electricity prices for Monday are posted at 3 pm on Sunday.
