Shell stations will begin switching to St1 branding next week, marking the gradual phase-out of the Shell name in Finland.
Since 2010, St1 has acquired most of Shell’s operations in three Nordic countries. The company has now adopted a single-brand strategy, consolidating all its stations in Finland, Sweden, and Norway under the St1 name.
With the current licensing period coming to an end, the change is now underway. The transition starts with the Shell station in Ruskeasanta, Vantaa, where a St1 sign will be installed next Wednesday.
Once the rebranding is complete, there will be a total of 1,250 St1 stations across the Nordic countries, the company announced in a press release.
