An incredibly special WednESday this week, with the #guitar that kick-started rock n roll (in Scotty Moore’s hands).
But not just that: this Gibson ES295 was bought new in 1957 as part of a set with the #GA30 amp and accessories seen here, and essentially put into storage for over six decades. Then @capsulemusic acquired the complete set earlier this year, and had literally no trouble selling it to a lucky Toronto collector. You just do not see a set like this come up every day!

One last shot from last night’s #rocknroll show with @seanpinchin at The #WhiteElephant in #Toronto, Canada.
Here you can see Sean’s #ES330 (of course), but you can also his #amp “stack” (rear) and a bit of his #pedalboard to. That #Orange amp may be small in size but it sounds HUGE with the extension cab! It was so big I had assumed he was running it through the PA (although I didn’t see a #mic…), but he told me between sets that he was not using the PA for anything but vocals, and the guitar sound was just coming out of the amp and cabinet! We’re not talking about merely a fat sound here we are talking about an OBESE sound! :D
I’m not much of a #pedal guy, but I did notice he was using a #Boss #bass #EQ. I guess if you want to fatten up your #tone, a bass EQ probably gives you more bottom than a #guitar EQ, right? Clever stuff…I never would have thought of that!
