Es la empresa líder en Perú en la producción de leches industrializadas,
fabricando y comercializando derivados lácteos, así como una gran
variedad de otros productos de consumo masivo. A diciembre del 2021,
Leche Gloria cuenta con una participación en el mercado local de 76.7%
en leches industrializadas, y de 79.6% en leche evaporada,
comercializadas a través de diversas marcas y presentaciones. Leche
Gloria forma parte del Grupo Gloria, uno de los conglomerados
industriales más importantes del país, con operaciones en otros seis
países de América Latina y conformado por importantes empresas que
operan en diversos sectores: alimentos, cemento, papeles y empaques, y
agroindustria (azúcar y derivados), desarrollando además negocios
corporativos en: transporte, manejo logístico y distribución comercial.

2.2. Resumen de políticas contables significativas
- A continuación se presentan las políticas contables significativas utilizadas por la
Gerencia del Grupo en la preparación de los estados financieros consolidados:
- (a) Instrumentos financieros: reconocimiento inicial y medición posterior – El Grupo
adoptó la NIIF 9 para el reconocimiento y medición de sus instrumentos financieros al 1
de enero de 2018. Un instrumento financiero es cualquier acuerdo que da origen a un
activo financiero de una entidad y a un pasivo financiero o instrumento patrimonial de
otra entidad.
