A: To outdo = to be or perform better

I outdid the others in the contest and won first prize.

A: It is like an informal competition, and one person is wanting to perform better than the other person. For instance, if I wanted to outdo my friend who recently had a party, I would host my own party with more guests, more food, more alcohol, etc.

A: Outdo and outperform as far as I’m aware mean the same thing. I hear outperform more often though.

Outweigh USUALLY to do with weight, even if in the abstract. So you can outweigh somebody by just weighing more kilos, or benefits can outweigh the negatives meaning there are more benefits than negatives. They don’t WEIGH more as they aren’t a physical item but you can use it in that case.

I can see how all three can be confused. All depends on context and what feels natural I would say.
