  Everyone seems to have a lot of feelings about this movie, and for good reason! In the Cut is pretty polarizing, though I'm in the middle of hating it and loving it. This is a slow burn. The ending was disappointing. I don't know why Jennifer Jason Leigh and Meg Ryan had to kiss the way they did. I don't think Campion portrayed any of the Black characters well. But I did like how this movie handled eroticism, fear, and violence. Meg Ryan and Mark Ruffalo were genuinely good. I'm giving this movie 3 stars mostly because of the ending and the sepia flashbacks.

  Though I want Imogen Poots to have my baby, we would have a nice normal baby together. It would be cute. Not weird. Do you think the neighborhood feeds off the dead bodies? I get that this is probably supposed to be a metaphor for dead-end suburban life, but I really wish there was more of a point.
