There’s a reason this film has been in my top 5 since I first saw it when I was 7.

Almost 70 years later, this still blows me away and holds up amazingly well, and no amount of birthdays takes away from the spectacle, excitement, and experience watching this brings. If you can catch it on the big screen, it will be an unforgettable event!

For me, I didn’t feel anything for anyone in this movie. The underage teen sex stuff was disgusting and it felt violating to be shown to an audience of any age.

There’s a reason why this movie is my favorite film of all time...actually, many reasons.

Most of the effects are still awe-inspiring over 40 years later and STILL hold up very well, and the casting is perfect. There’s something here for everyone of all ages. There’s comedy, adult drama, fun action, great special effects, and an amazing score that you’ll be humming for days. How John Williams was passed over for an Oscar for this score is beyond me.
