  the timing was perfect, the casting was impeccable, the shots were gorgeous, and the piano sound track was the beautiful bow tying it all together. pls get these white boys their oscar noms🙏🏾

  TL;DR super hyped for mike flanagan but this is not my favorite

  i always love mike flanagan and his recurring tv cast is easily one of my favorite EVER so obv loved the cinematography and characters. the core mythological foundation was also very fun and helped build suspense v well. 

  HOWEVER! mr. flanagan is running into trouble with his monologues. almost once an episode (if not more), the scene would deviate to these monologue tangents, some political, that took up…

  Easily one of my favorite limited series in years. 

  The show thoughtfully combined absurd situations with painfully real emotional turmoil to create an incredibly accurate portrayal of depression, rage, and intrusive thoughts and behaviors.

  I didn’t love Ali Wong’s standup comedy because it felt one-dimensional, but her character is quite the opposite. I’m not familiar with much of the cast, but every character was a full person who I could laugh and cry with (except David Choe).
