Absolutely devastating. Influential figures have a larger platform than ever before, and we are only now seeing the effects of it. Barantini’s directorial decision to shoot these episodes in one take really immerse you in the discomfort and realness of the subject, and the decision to play Through The Eyes Of A Child by AURORA tipped me over at the end 🥲

Well-paced and endearingly funny, this film dove headfirst into the psyche behind misogyny and incel culture (of course his name is Josh), and I am SO here for it.
Thatcher’s performance was stellar as usual, and Quaid’s capacity for assholery is on par with Reynor’s in Midsommar. I really liked how the sci-fi aspect of this film served to further the overall concept of the ‘subservient housewife’ trope, because god forbid a girl is more than a sex doll
