Gay boys please stop your games. You love each other so much.
Blurring the lines of culture, love, lust, and testosterone, Happy Together is a complex tale told so candidly. And it is bursting at the seams with, “It.” With yearning, with frustration, with color, and with Kar-wai.
Terrific, tragic, and deserving.
Cold but warm, rainy but sunny
The beats pass like a Crichton novel, the colors bloom like a Hitchcock, and it’s not the shutter speeds alone that remind that this is Kar-wai. He treats this plot, and by extension its audience, with such respect—even the wrong acts are right. And he’s so wry with it.

This started out so strong before promptly falling on its face in the end. West seems to have this habit; Maxxxine similarly stumbles.
