I’ll stand by my take that Tom Hardy gives one of the best performances of the past 20 years. This is such an underrated but truly brilliant film that perfectly captures the human experience and all its complexities. The destination is simple, but the journey sees you going down many avenues of emotion. Doing the right thing is difficult. Fixing your mistakes requires sacrifice and humility. Locke is all about moving forward - one headlight in the night at a time.

Now that was one hell of an entertaining and wild ride! Second time the producers of Barbarian have completely made me lose my mind with squealing joy! I just loved how funny this was as well as thrilling! The horror elements as well were short but so explosive. It definitely rises above being a glorified Black Mirror because the filmmaking is very cinematic. The entire look and feel is just pristine and really fun. Sophie Thatcher gives a phenomenal performance and…

What did I miss with this? I was positively bored out of my freaking mind watching this. It should have been way more compelling given the plot and Sydney Poitier screen presence, but unfortunately missed the mark for me completely.?

A monumental achievement from a filmmaking standpoint. The 3 Oscars this movie walked away with are without a doubt its 3 most impressive aspects. The cinematography is astonishing in its scale and visual intrigue. There are dozens and dozens of shots that evoke a visceral awe. The upside down Statue of Liberty and the shot from above of the train crash to name just 2. The score adds so much to the emotional weight of the story. It makes it…

Well colour me shocked and impressed that this particular Pixar sequel manages to be perfectly on par with its original in every single way possible. By that I mean this movie seamlessly fits as an evolution of not only Riley as a character, but the ever expanding and endlessly creative world building that is the human psyche. I loved the new emotions, especially Anxiety, who is so perfectly voiced by Maya Hawke. The others are awesome as well in their…

A technical masterpiece of epic proportions like only the best director working today could deliver. What Denis and his team were able to accomplish from just a technical standpoint alone is nothing short of astounding. As a recent reader and lover of the book, I feel as though Frank Hubert’s wonderfully layered plot and vivid descriptions have been beautifully translated to screen. My jaw is literally sore from it hanging open for probably 2/3 of the entire runtime.…
