  For me this might be David Lynch's best screenplay. The story unfolds organically, always with tension and mystery, subverts your expectations, and delivers its payoffs. It's succinct. It's a damn fine screenplay.

  Lynch couldn't get the film funded and a possible financier asked Paul Schrader to improve the script.

  "I told them: There's no way I can improve Blue Velvet"

  You can't get much higher praise than Schrader telling you that you've nailed it.

  Donald Pleasence is the king of delivering exposition. The man quivers his lips and you listen. The third act here goes so hard. Absolutely staggering, my jaw dropped. The arrow 4k is beautiful, the colours are so vivid and deep.

  This one was a bday present from me ol pal jonney! You knew that I love this for two reasons:
  1. Top tier Argento
  2. One of the school girls wears a BeeGees tshirt with a print of Barry Gibb on it that is the size of her entire torso lmao.
