A phenomenal piece of film’s foundation. Some really incredible shots—I especially loved the shots of the ship at sea.

Tetsuo: The Iron Man 1989
Conjures Ballard's Crash, and in some ways Lynch's Eraserhead. Industrial nightmare soaked in dread, dripping with hesitant, vicious sexuality. Death, sex, violence, eroticism. It's all here, infecting everything. The visual effects are enhanced a great deal with the use of black and white film. Makes it all just blend together in a haze of wires and metal. Great stuff. Trippy as hell.
