  Saccharine without being soppy, funny without being overwrought, wistful without being dramatic; just a warm, poignant little movie with an incredible cast. A balm. One of those films that reminds you that you’re alive.

  Giamatti is at his most Giamatti (a glory to behold), Sessa is instantly captivating, and Rudolph steals absolutely every scene she’s in.

  The stranger sitting next to me (an older woman with a Latin accent who also came to see this by herself) said she liked watching the movie with me because we laughed and got choked up together. We also both brought chocolates. This is the magic of cinema, to me.
