incredible extreme close-ups. denzel is great in this, as is liev. movie kind of drags on a bit and the evil private equity firm back story feels fairly weak, but a hell of a lot of fun to watch.

one of the best edited films I’ve ever seen. The hard cuts from scene to scene, the interweaving of Perry’s hallucinations. really incredible, captivating stuff.
the next to last scene with Perry where the rain on the window projects tears on his face is an incredible image.
the way this movie eschews violent images…until it doesn’t. the middle third of this movie is basically Thelma & Louise and then it serves up the most chilling, tense murder scene you’ve ever seen. A masterpiece in controlling tone and message.
