  I didn't think I would like the movie as much as I did.

  While Uncle Frank follows familiar tropes of coming-out dramas, its sincere performances and heartfelt storytelling make it stand out. 

  The film’s greatest strength lies in its emotional depth. Alan Ball crafts an intimate narrative that feels both personal and universal. The cinematography and 1970s setting enhance the nostalgic and melancholic tone, making the story even more immersive. 

  Paul Bettany delivers a powerful performance as Frank, portraying his internal conflict with a delicate balance of charm, vulnerability, and pain.

  Nickel Boys 2024

  Nickel Boys is not a classic Hollywood drama, but an artistically sophisticated movie that sheds light on the true horrors of American history. 

  I wanted to love it so much and the beginning in particular was so incredibly promising. But in the middle, unfortunately, the movie kind of lost me. Some scenes are just too extended and the running time was unfortunately just too long. Also the perspective, which I really liked at the beginning, made sure that I wasn't emotionally captivated enough by the main character.

  Nevertheless, it really is an important and valuable movie.
