so refreshing to see miss scarlett in a real role where she can actually act. also the child actor boy was so so so good. really good really real movie.

cannot believe it took me so long to watch this!! mikey madison is so so so incredible she deserves everything she’s gotten for this role. the needle drop during the wedding is a top ten moment of the year for me. i also really appreciate how raw this film feels. like when you watch a blockbuster with an insane budget like gladiator 2 you are continually conscious that they are filming on a massive set with hundreds of staff. but anora almost feels like it could’ve been recorded on an iphone. not sure i agree with the best picture win but definitely best editing and directing.

The Batman 2022
BEST BATMAN MOVIE IMO. Robert Pattinson is the perfect mix of weird and brooding that his batman just makes so much sense. Zoe Kravitz is great and all the characters are actually well fleshed out. Finally we get a villian with some diva-ness who loves a game. My favorite part about this movie is that it doesn’t take itself too seriously. One scene where Batman is flying under an over pass his wings hit it and he falls. Like that’s real that’s what would actually happen. The car chase with Penguin is also fabulous with some Fast and Furious vibes.
