The message of this film is horrifying! Obviously nothing more than thinly veiled leftist environmental fascist propaganda. Why Pixar thought it was in any way acceptable to sneak this in to a so-called "kid's film" is beyond me. To begin with, the revelation that "Big Oil" is the big villain behind the terrorism in this film hits with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer. The anti-capitalist rhetoric is dripping from every scene as we watch scene after scene of violence,…

Left me traumatized, but in a good way :3

I really hate that every synopsis of this film spoils the whole suspenseful opening act. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I went in blind. Overall a rollercoaster of emotions with much more sweetness and positivity than the premise would suggest.

Man, I love Shakespeare. I didn’t have a clue what was going on until about the middle of Act 2 though and I still don’t know what the sketchy guy in the cloak wanted. I think he was symbolic.

A lot of great lines, but I got lost in the vocabulary during the monologues.

    Perfect film for English majors.

Perhaps the greatest love story of all time, Shrek 2 doubles down and then expands on the themes of the original classic. This film demonstrates with supreme artistry that beauty comes from within and that true love conquers every circumstance. Shrek 2 presents a rare coupling between comedic genius and thematic depth portrayed through the masterful voice-acting of Mike Meyers who stars as the titular protagonist. As Aristotle once said, “Shrek is truly a franchise for all ages, and its second installment is an instant classic to be remembered throughout the generations.”
