Japanese Spiderman 1978
"Emissary from hell with a gun whacky Japan lolololololololol" - people who only know this show from out of context clips
The real Japanese Spider-man is a downbeat, well-written show with a protagonist just as good-hearted as the other screen versions of the character who keeps on fighting and trying to protect people even after going through hell and failing time after time. The mech fights start to feel tacked on after a few episodes but the rest of the action being top-notch and a lot of really great stories make up for it.

Ultraman Tiga: The Final Odyssey 2000
Good character drama and some surprisingly brutal moments. The fights were pretty good, especially the underwater fight and the fight in space.
