The human element unsurprisingly continues to be the worst. The mother-daughter relationship is the emotional core, and it fails on such an excruciating degree that they shouldn't have even tried. We're here to see the big monkey and big lizard wrestle the other big monkey and big lizard, after all. The undeniable, towering stupidity of it all can fortunately be laughed off due to the admitted fulfillment of no holds barred kaiju smackdown popcorn entertainment.
