  although ive rewatched the matrix a lot i havent so much with films 2/3 since childhood so id p much forgotten the whole plot/story here and it was really fun to see the continuation of a film i LOVE. 

  really quickly the world of the matrix expands and that’s one thing i really like about a sequel. we get to look behind + build on what we already know.

  there’s something so comforting to my brain about this film. ive never watched it before but it felt sooo comforting and nostalgic. i also feel this way about twin peaks. obviously theres this whole dark mystery happening but i think it rly feels a lot like films/media of my childhood that its instantly familiar.

  its so strange how u can know someone so deeply and share such intimacy and then times change (you change) and theres this huge gap between you now. i feel like u never know that ur in a phase until ur on the other side and clock that closeness is not forever. 

  its so weird like friendship post college / uni + it’s strange and uncertain + different paths/ income/ career. i guess thats the point of this film but…
