I think this film beautiful portrays the multitude of grief- the awkwardness, rejection and acceptance. It just made me think how as humans we easily get uncomfortable listening/experiencing others sadness. Why is that?

LOVE LOVE LOVE. Although the long running time, I submerged into the lush cinematic colour. And it went so well with the on and off relationship between Fred and Laurence.
Xavier Dolan made me fall in love with medium shot. I swear!
That being said, the flashback to the scene in the end where Laurence approaches Fred, I really wish the wink wasn’t there.
