Amazing movie. The aesthetics carry you the whole way. The dressing and setting are inspiring. Yet what makes this movie worth the watch is its subtlety. The camera work and editing are perfectly thought-out, with Deray doing very slow pans to change the character in focus at the moment. A scene to specifically point out is their dinner after Alain Delon goes swimming in the beach.

Sublimely written, this movie is both incredibley funny and powerful. It came out of the screen like a play, and Gleason, Farrell and Fiennes are amazing. No actor can show emotions through facial expressions like Farrell.
The whole twist on honor and promises was just hilarious.
I also loved that it’s both predictable and unpredictable, like that ending.
Overall highly enjoyable movie, just be ready for some dark and gory humor.
