I truly did not expect to love this movie as much as I did. It’s one of those films that shift with every scene and I kept finding myself taken aback as the plot thickened. This film explores the dark side of an ideal relationship, contrasting romanticized cute meet-ups and the reality of a woman’s suppressed autonomy. I really enjoyed Sophie Thatcher’s performance in this film. It was genuinely entertaining to watch Iris’s mind—or rather, her programming—evolve as she came to terms with the reality of her situation and ultimately broke free from Josh’s control.

The visuals are breathtaking and the immersive sound design of bullets flying is enough to make you jump out of your seat in an effort to avoid the crossfire.
