La Haine 1995
really love how each shot is framed. the black and white cinematography is both beautiful and striking in its thematic relevance.
I guess I wished that I liked the first half of the film more, but ultimately by the time we got to the ending, I recognized that it was necessary for how it eventually wrapped up. so yeah, pretty great!

Never Get Tired: The Bomb the Music Industry! Story 2015
When I discovered Bomb the Music Industry! I was in the throes of a deep depression. I was in my last semester of college and was staying up all night, every night, unable to get to sleep without drinking until I passed out.
The morning of my graduation was the first time I watched Never Get Tired. I laughed, cried, left inspired. Almost 7 years later, I’ve made it through, and I’ve got to credit Jeff’s music for helping me get through.
Bomb the Music Industry! forever.

Parasite 2019
“They say a ghost in the house brings wealth.”
The premier film of late-stage capitalism. Wealth accumulated by the blood of the downtrodden, personified by the cushy upstairs life of the ruling class. You can fantasize about owning that dream home, but it’s never as simple as just walking up the stairs. And without solidarity amongst the working class, we doom ourselves to a lifetime of competition, selfishness, and greed, chasing the insatiable need for capital as we lose our humanity. The ruling class continue ruling, whilst we continue killing each other to be them.
