  the more I think about this movie the more I love it. wandering, pensive, contradictory - Linklater remembers what it feels like to be young and still trying to figure it all out. reflective and idealistic without becoming annoyingly pretentious and taking itself too seriously. casting is amazing, cinematography was really well done but very subtle. I wish I had watched this all in one go - I could definitely talk about this movie for ages. I’m excited to watch the next one!

  very spooky. i actually felt this one was well fleshed out so to speak - a lot of horror movies with this type of plot (teens find a random supernatural artifact that pushes the whole plot) seem to lack in terms of actual explanation and substance and instead focus on jump scares and such. but Talk To Me filled in these gaps well. it had some scary moments, music was maybe a little overused, but overall good buildup and shock…
