Pokémon Detective Pikachu 2019
It's cute for what it is. It's definitely meant for kids but it was fun seeing pokemon come to life and the plot was similar to pokemon movie 2000s. The twist was a little weird and it was corny but yeah i enjoyed it :3

so my favorite part of this movie was the sound design. it was like an ASMR field trip. the entire movie was beautiful and hush. you know that feeling in a horror movie when things get quiet and you know something is about to pop out? it was like that silence, but i wasn't expecting anything to ruin it.
a little slow moving but didnt take away from the movie too much
im a sap and i really hated that they didnt end up together, but the ending itself was gorgeous and extremely well done

My first letterboxd review! I would have rated it 4 stars, however I think the movie didn't meet quite what I wanted it to be, so I docked it half a star for selfish reasons. I wanted there to be more killing on her part, not just some big finale where everyone dies at the same time. And towards the end it got a little predictable.
I liked the movie overall though. I would watch it again. I really appreciated…
