This movie, although somewhat confusing throughout, clearly depicts the racial tensions present in New York during the 70s and 80s. Rock Lee does an amazing job using cinematography to further support the message the story was trying to convey. Using closeups with direct eye contact with the characters makes the dialogue linger with the audience.
