It’s such a normie take to not enjoy this but I did not enjoy this. It’s not BAD but adapting Dune into one 2-hour movie is probably an impossible task. It’s dull, rushed, and the inner monologues of like 8 characters is lazy.
Will surely be my least favorite Lynch movie on this watch of his filmography but shoutout to Jack Nance and Everett McGill.
I think this is probably still a very funny movie at home but it fucking rocks in a packed theater.
Rewatch for the first time since ~2006. I remembered 1-2% of it.
Expectation:
I’m sure it’s not great and shouldn’t have beat Brokeback for Best Picture, but it’s probably *fine*
Reality:
Lol holy shit this is one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. Shades of The Room and Magnolia if it was made by a shitty filmmaker. No redeeming qualities.
