Bong Joon-Ho has something to say about capitalism. And the political elite, class consciousness, colonialism, and trauma. Every scene was either layered with all of these motifs or I was reading way too far into it. Overall, it was a fun movie to watch at the local theater. It had me laughing a lot. The creepers were cute from the jump. Robert Pattinson was incredible and I loved Toni Collette in this as well (not shocking 👸).

Spike Lee’s mind… wow. Outside of the technical beauty of this film (camera shots, use of color, etc.), the sick outfits, and hilarious characters, one of the best features of this film is that the viewer is thrust into discussion and further questioning when the credits roll. What is the right thing? What do you think the right thing to do is, and why? You cannot walk away from this film certain of anything, which feels uncomfortable but is nonetheless…
