Arty cowboy movies are my jam and this one’s a certified beauty. There’s an awesome yet haunting sequence right at the start that uses slow motion and superimposition to create a visceral effect that’s like a gut punch and it justifies watching the whole movie in and of itself.

Kinda gets better on a second watch. There’s a 40min chunk in the middle where I get bored and daydream but I’m back for the final chapter and epilogue - ends the movie on a high.
