It’s a good plot, but I hated the way this looked and sounded, including the acting.

The future was ugly & stupid looking, and I hated how everyone there talked. The score consistently felt dumb & out of place. The sound in general was often overly abrasive, though it’s possible the Brattle had the volume up too high. I don’t know enough about cinematography to put a finger on anything but I did not like how this was shot (lots of diagonal…

Greenland is covered with ice, and Iceland is very nice.

I remembered liking this more than the first one, and while this is more flashy & fun, it somehow manages to be even dumber toward the end, with parts of the plot feeling a bit too hollow, which about evens them out for me. Justice for Julie Gaffney!!!

unfortunately very disappointed in this. great book, horrible movie.

the first person pov felt very unrealistic, and made the main characters completely hollow. I wasn’t able to get past it at all, and was left disinterested for almost the whole time. The clock on the wall and the insides of my eyelids started to become pretty compelling.

I’d probably give this more than a half star if I hadn’t read the book, because it is a good story, but as it was it was about as little as I’ve ever wanted to keep watching what was on the screen in front of me.

I think this has to be the most visually beautiful movie I’ve ever seen. I was almost constantly in awe at the shots & music, especially in the first half. And the acting from Adrien Brody, nothing short of perfect imo. Slam dunk best actor, slam dunk Best Picture.

I couldn’t imagine giving this anything less than 5 stars during the first half (except for any time Joe Alwyn was speaking). The second half though was a little dreary for my…
