Six years ago I had a meeting in London and decided to the cinema first. The only film of interest at the right time was Ne Zha showing near China Town, obviously.

Was totally blown away by what I saw and they've done it again. I'm glad the sequel has got a wider release.

Sadly the original hasn't been available here since so had a refresher via Wikipedia and there was a brief synopsis at the start.

    Excellent film.

I was so caught up in it I felt relief when they heard the hostages had been freed and then immediately felt dread as I anticipated the truth filtering through.

Like Apollo 13 I think this will be a film that will always be tense on every viewing

I haven't felt as emotional coming out of a film since 2021's Benediction, a film that emotionally broke me. Whilst not as powerful, I did have to find a small corner of a coffee shop to gather my emotions afterwards.

The film is wonderful. Some practical aspects of it may make the endeavour seem implausible but these can be overlooked.

Jim Broadbent is excellent. Really felt for Harold through the journey as his motivation is revealed.

Penelope Wilton as his wife, having to cope with his sudden disappearance, has a corker of a line right near the end which got me in the feels.
