I think some people go into this movie expecting the wrong thing. We’ve been given a lot of great media that explores the thriller occult criminal investigation with supernatural elements or motifs…but those almost always still resolve in a way that can pass as grounded or more realistic than not (i.e. true detective, prisoners, se7en, etc.).
