Annihilation 2018
Had to rewatch bc I read the book a few weeks ago. So I understood it more this time but honestly liked it less. Literally had to google why the movie is so different and I get Garland trying to capture the vibe not the same story but I find it to be such a bad choice. Makes the whole concept way less compelling

Miracle Mile 1988
Not my kind of movie but fun to see our neighborhood in the 80s on film. If I had more emotional energy I’d come up with something poetic about watching a disaster film set down the street from our beloved apartment, which we just proactively fled, but I’m completely zapped from this apocalyptic day. Happy bday Willy Will ❤️ your movie taste is funny but we love ya!
