Hard watch (designedly). Looks and feels like a TV film (complimentary). Jean-Baptiste is brilliant (obviously).

Mulholland Drive 2001
We were lucky to have him and we're lucky to have this film. It's many things - funny, scary, perplexing - but most of all I find it so unbearably sad. An utterly cinematic journey through horror and heartbreak, dreams and decay, loneliness and lovelessness. Naomi Watts' performance is one of my favourites ever. Billy Ray Cyrus' may be a close 2nd.

That's more like it. Manages to be both an unnerving, edge-of-your-seat thriller and a powerful - and scarily plausible - cautionary tale, reminding us that AI is only as manipulative, selfish, and dangerous as the humans - specifically, the men - who make it.
