There's a few movies I've seen that stuck in my head and become part of my consciousness like they were already there waiting for me to discover them, both the good and bad. I feel that way about writing, when it's going well, too.

A solid, funny, and well shot wuxia film with a lot of tension all set around a desolate inn.
Saw this film at a university screening in June 2019. While its title is somewhat short-sighted in retrospect, this is a good documentary about the problems and opportunities of being transgender in the 2010s. This movie has even less of a coherent plot than the video game it’s based on. Which is to say it has negative levels of plot. But it turns out I don’t need plot in my movies to enjoy them immensely. Plot would have hindered this movie.
