McDonagh has been telling just about the same story since Six Shooter, but it's a good story and Gleeson is fantastic, so it keeps working out

Decision to Leave 2022
The story is a bit thin, but never so much that it breaks. The real shine is in the editing and camera work. Some shots are so unexpected and cuts are so exciting, it kept me fully invested in the experience of watching. I love to see a director keep trying new approaches. It doesn't work all the time, but I'll take something new that mostly works over something I've already seen a million times.
