it follows will forever be iconic for having some of the best cinematography and maybe the best music of any modern horror film and some incredible scenes of genuine suspense (i did a whole study on the school hallway sequence once in a film class) all while also having some of the stupidest ideas and moments in any movie ever. i would simply never fuck again

this was TIGHT. i’ve liked a couple new movies this year but this was the first i really truly loved. paced perfectly, shot beautifully, an absolute joy to follow. simple, efficient, just incredibly well done. couple little things that i didn’t love but nothing major. just a really damn solid piece of filmmaking. doesn’t do anything that hasn’t been done before, but it does it all really fucking well. you don’t have to reinvent the wheel if you can make a damn good wheel. bonus points for a squeeze appearance, great use of up the junction lmao
