Really beautiful exploration of grief. It made a lot of sense because not everything was explained.
Honestly a little underwhelming. Loved the focus on solely Priscilla’s POV but the narrative still felt very tame and monotonous. A lot of the scenes were missing a pause or moment to reflect on his actions and it’s weight. Visually pretty but the pacing was off and made Elvis out to be a talented hot guy who maybe threw a chair every now and then. I was rooting for her but still didn’t feel that moved by the end of it.
For me this movie was about not knowing what you want and deserve in your early adulthood. Really funny and beautiful look into the nuances of Jewish gatherings as a young adult navigating love, school and just life. Loved it.
Sweet, melancholic and profound adventure between a father and daughter. This film ran so Aftersun could walk. Beautiful cinematography and you can feel the warmth of childhood innocence, excitement and love of all things yummy. French countryside in the summer >>
