The Shawshank Redemption 1994
This is the best movie ever made no question. Such an immersive movie that really makes you feel as if you're in Shawshank prison with Andy and red, Thomas Newman’s score kills it, every shot is beautiful the acting is out of this world and the Brooks scene makes me tear up every god damn time. The first time I saw it I was expecting a depressing ending but instead, we got the most uplifting conclusion ever. The perfect ending to a perfect film.

The Grand Budapest Hotel 2014
From the start of the film it is clear that you are watching a Wes Anderson film. The colour palette and set design are obvious visual clues for this. The music by Anderson’s frequent collaborator Alexandre Desplat is also an indication of who is directing the film and its whimsical sound adds to the charm of the film. The cast also includes actors who have appeared in several other of Anderson’s films for example Bill Murray and Owen Wilson. One feature…
