big boomin' blockbuster challenge (5/15)

a really solid movie that does not rely on fan service. as a non-star trek watcher, i was familiar enough with the series through cultural osmosis. this movie didn’t require me to do any homework and is not encumbered by it’s past (looking at you star wars). below are some semi-real time observations:
