  It’s disjointed, overly long, and never quite locks in together. I also didn’t care for the Ruffalo performance-feels like a case of a very talented actor fundamentally miscalculating, with him doing a halfway Trump impression (even mirroring the vocal cadence at times) but not really adding much, if any interiority to the character. In general, the film having the subtlety of a brick rubbed me the wrong way, even as someone who very much agrees with the films politics. I…

  I’m sure 10 million people pointed this out in 2013/14, but it really is funny how Brad Pitt produced this movie, cast himself as the one good white guy, then won an Oscar for it

  My friends got me to see this because the trailer looked goofy, and we figured this might make a solid ironic viewing. I’m pretty sure this movie drove me insane. Just a few highlights (lowlights?):

  -Jon Voight playing a former KGB officer with a shitty accent and what looks like a glued on goatee for a bunch of flashback scenes

  -Reagan apparently being chosen by god to take down communism (???) This is basically what the whole movie is about.…
