Looney Tunes simply BELONGS on the big screen in this form and not like the bullshit that was Space Jam 2 -- the fact that this got zero promotion and will likely be outgrossed by more of the tired, made-for-profit live-action slop Disney is crapping out next weekend makes me want to slash David Zaslav's tires and destroy his house, then put it down as a tax writeoff. 90 minutes of madcap madness, merrie melodies and a ton of heart;…

ATTENTION: The great Bong Joon-ho has dropped another banger. If I am elected president, his films will be mandatory viewing for all persons of the land.

Jokes aside this was great stuff. It's science-fiction, satire, drama and social commentary all beautifully blended together. From the start the world-building is incredibly well-done. Brilliant film. The story is a bit tough to follow but where the film really shines are the action sequences. All of them are fantastic and Tom Cruise is definitely one of the best leading men in Hollywood today. I'm not sure how they'll top this one in terms of action, if they ever make M:I 7. Henry Cavill was great in this movie; his character was questionable but at least he got more to do here than in Justice…

Also it's one of the best space exploration films I've ever seen. Brad Pitt does so much and gives such a spectacular performance. On a technical level, the film is terrific, especially the editing. The journey to Neptune sequence was cinematic gold. The score is fantastic and compliments the tone of the movie perfectly. The story is also great; I loved how it dealt with isolation, even when not in space, and the bond between fathers and sons. Great film, one of the best I've seen this year.

Whoever led the marketing department for this movie needs to be fired
